“What’s your best room?” is a question often asked and like a good mother I respond, “They are all nice and have something special.” We built White River Lodge to be our home and five-room bed and breakfast lodging. We cater to couples and mostly adult travelers coming to the area for an event or celebration and to enjoy the Lakes and outdoors as well as Branson attractions. We chose property overlooking Table Rock Lake and built, licensed, and insured a log lodge with the space and amenities our target guest would appreciate.
The guest rooms are located on the south side of the lodge and all overlook Table Rock Lake to the east to enjoy the sunrise, moonrise, and sitting on the decks or patio. All guestrooms have outside and inside access with deadbolts and room keys, private bathrooms, WIFI, HD DirecTV programming, gas-flamed fireplaces (seasonal), Zoned HVAC, ceiling fans, Table Rock Lake View, Comphy brand microfiber bedding, towels, robes, soaps, hair driers, covered parking, and include breakfast, hot and soft drinks, snacks/desserts in our dining areas. All our rooms have “water” names. Couple’s Cove and Long Creek are on the upper floor, Foggy River and Lakeshore our on the main floor and The Pond Suite is located on the lower level.
From the main entrance, take the log staircase to the upper level. First door on the left is Long Creek and at the end of the hall is Couple’s Cove. These rooms have vaulted ceilings that give them a spacious feel even though they are the same size as the rooms below them. Both have King-size log beds. Couple’s Cove has a Big Jacuzzi Tub for two that sets out in the room and a shower in its bathroom. Long Creek’s private bathroom has a jetted tub/shower combo with the sink vanity outside the bathroom. Couple’s Cove has windows on each log wall and its single patio door goes out to a semi-private deck area with bar height chairs and table and a cushioned lounger. Long Creek has no outside windows but a double glass patio door that goes out to its deck area with seating. There is a set of outside stairs between the two room’s deck that go down to the next level and main deck.
On the main floor and under the log staircase on the south side there are two more rooms. Foggy River Room is down the hall and like Couple’s Cove, Foggy River Room has a Big Jacuzzi Tub for two and King log bed, windows on each outside wall, shower in the bathroom and a patio door that goes out to its square deck area. However, Foggy River has just regular sized ceiling that gives it a cozier feel. Sometimes guests with mobility issues prefer this room since it is on the main floor so there are no stairs to the great room, breakfast area or main deck. And the shower in Foggy River is easy to step into since it’s not a tub/shower combo that the other rooms have and you can just ignore that big Jacuzzi tub though that’s why some pick Foggy River! Next door under Long Creek is Lakeshore. This room has two queen-sized bed in the same room so is often chosen by people that don’t want to share a bed or don’t mind sleeping in a queen. This room is the only one that gives a discount if there is just one person staying. This room is located where the upper and lower stairs are so this limits your view from the room but the double patio door goes out to the main deck or take the stairs down to the flagstone patio. Lakeshore has a tub/shower combo in its bathroom and is located next to the great room on the main floor.
And for the room that pleasantly surprises and has a following of return guests, The Pond Suite is like your own little cabin and is the only guest room on that floor. From the main floor, down the carpeted stairs to the lower level is where The Pond Suite is located. This is the only room with its own living room, two bedrooms and has an occupancy of 4. It is on the south end of the lodge with lake view patio doors opening onto a flagstone patio—there is also a set of steps outside going up to the main deck. With all the space, this is a good room for those that are staying more than three nights, travel with lots of stuff or just like the privacy and comfort of having a living room in their own unit. The TV is in the living room with no bedroom TVs. It has a large bathroom with a tub/shower combo and there is an extra sink vanity with mirror off the living room. This is the only room that you can park by so this makes it easy to come and go as your room key also works on your patio doors. Most of the time, this room is rented at the base price to a couple using one bedroom; but if two people want separate bedrooms the queen room may be added for an additional $25 fee or if you have a third or fourth person, the charge is $40 more per person per night. This room is the one that may work well for adults traveling with children. Children do count in the total occupancy of 4 and the extra person price. If any are under 12 years of age, give us a call to talk about exceptions and conditions. This room has also worked well for those traveling with other adults if you don’t mind sharing the one bathroom. There is a half bath near the suite that can also be used.
