We had a great set of couples staying at the lodge for Valentine’s weekend. Two of the couples were from Missouri and had stayed with us before. One was from Hot Springs, AR where they had 6″ of snow. And for the OK couple, this was their first bed and breakfast, and I bet not their last. Bed and Breakfasts are a “Better Way to Stay”. Joyfully, the weather cooperated and there were trips to the Marquis Spa (still surrounded by snow but at 102, who cares), trips to Branson (shopping, dining and shows), and even a fishing trip for trout on Taneycomo with Captain Bill (and he cleaned their limit of trout for the trip home). Oh and of course, trips to the kitchen for breakfast, goodies, and coffee. Mmmm, Sinful Pleasures (dark chocolate and hazelnut)–thanks Chauvin–love your flavored coffees.
The coming week also shows much promise with warmer weather, a three day weekend, and more Branson and Lake Area activities. White River Lodge has winter rates and 2, 3, or 4 night specials good through March 20. Discounts are figured for you when booking on line through Webervations or give me a call, 800-544-0257. For Branson attractions and shows during the week you can go to The Branson Tourism Web Site and click on “This Week in Branson”. We’ll also have a copy printed out at the lodge.
