The area surrounding the White River Lodge offers some of the most exciting and plentiful Missouri fishing the state has to offer. In the 1940s and 1950s, the 600 mile long White River was damned in four places to form Bulls Shoal, Lake Taneycomo, Table Rock and Beaver lakes. The beautiful clear, deep water of Table Rock Lake winds for 110 miles through the Ozark hills and is home to a variety of fish species including Kentucky Spotted, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. Below the Table Rock Lake Dam in Branson, Missouri flows Taneycomo. This 26-mile stretch of the White River has been stocked with Rainbow and German Brown trout, and in a true success story, has become one of the best trout fisheries in the world.
Lake Taneycomo trout fishing and Table Rock Lake bass fishing. White River Outfitters guide service takes clients spin-cast or fly-fishing for trout on Taneycomo or uses a variety of techniques for Bass fishing on Table Rock Lake (catch and release on bass and trophy trout). White River Outfitters provides the boat and all equipment, bait, and tackle needed for your 4 or 8 hour trip. Half day trip for 1 or 2 people $250. Full day trip for 1 or 2 people $350. Third person is $75 extra. Guests of White River Lodge receive a 10% discount on White River Outfitters guide service. Click on our Specials page for a fabulous spring smallmouth fishing and lodging package.
If you’re interested in bringing your own equipment, we have room to park your boat here at the lodge and can suggest the nearest public boat launch for where you’ll be fishing.
We also suggest you check out the OzarkAnglers.com fishing forums to see what’s happening on area lakes. You may even catch a post from Bill.
